Donna Madonia

Donna has been working in the fitness industry since 1995. With her passion, knowledge and enthusiasm, she has guided clients of all ages in achieving goals, including weight and body fat loss, injury recovery, and increased strength, self awareness and self confidence. Having a professional background in Culinary Arts and Nutrition, she also provides clients insight into the pros and cons of the latest fad diets and recommendations regarding proper eating, taking into account personal lifestyles and body composition.

Donna grew up in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Throughout her childhood, she actively participated in numerous sports and physical activities. After graduating from high school, she decided to pursue her dream as a chef and graduated from Johnson and Wales College in Providence, Rhode Island. A phenomenal career in the culinary industry followed. She traveled extensively and worked with numerous renowned chefs. As an executive chef, she prepared meals for the Queen of England, Luciano Pavarotti, numerous actors and musicians. She ran re-election parties for the Kennedy's and private parties within the political realm. However, while she felt as if she had conquered the culinary world, Donna had not stepped foot in a gym or worked out since high school.

As she approached 30, Donna realized her health was at risk, having battled a life-long weight problem that was compounded by years of physical neglect and 70 hour work weeks. At age 29, she finally decided to join a gym, a move that ultimately changed her life and molded her future. It was at the gym she discovered a new love! "Health and Wellness," the whole concept of feeling and looking great, created a natural high, one she had never experienced before. She had contracted the fitness bug! While continuing to work as a full-time chef, she took classes, studied incessantly, earned numerous certifications and received her personal trainer certification. Her training sessions started at 5:00 a.m. before work and she would return to the gym again at night after work.

After many years of carrying out both professions, Donna decided fitness was her true calling and decided to make a full-time career of it. Instead of cooking for others, she now delights in teaching her clients how to incorporate health, wellness and proper nutrition into their daily lifestyle.
